Car trim clips and retainers

A broken clip can leave a parcel shelf cord, sun visor or boot tray unsecured. Explore individual plastic replacements made to order for the applications below, and check the position and fixing before buying.

These are independent aftermarket parts, not universal push-fit clips or assorted fastener packs. Each listing covers a specific component and vehicle application.

How to choose the correct clip ↓

Identify the fixing before ordering

Parcel shelf: check both ends of the cord

On the Corsa D, the upper clip attaches at the boot lid and the lower clip attaches at the shelf. The lower replacement needs a separate retaining pin and tape, which are not supplied. The cord is not included with either clip.

Sun visor: retaining clip or pivot?

The Grande Punto 2006 and Saab 900 1998 listings replace the retaining clip. They are not complete sun visors or pivot assemblies. Check the original mounting points and retain the existing fixings; the Saab clip reuses the original screw.

Boot tray: match the tray and vehicle variant

The Subaru listing is for one underfloor boot tray retaining pin for the documented Outback 2.0D 2011 Europe application. The tray is not included. Compare the original pin and its seating area before ordering.

Keep the original part for comparison

Check its shape, attachment position, hole spacing and any reference number. Similar-looking clips may use different fixings. If a feature is missing or broken, send photos of the surrounding mounting area and measurements for assessment.

Photo and measurement checklist for a replacement clip

If you cannot identify the clip, these details help distinguish similar-looking parts. Keep any broken pieces and describe which features are missing; a photograph alone may not establish fit.

  1. Vehicle and position: record make, model, year, body style and the exact mounting location. State left or right as viewed from inside the car facing forward, and whether the car is left- or right-hand drive.
  2. Three views: photograph the front, side and underside of the loose original if available. Add a wider photo showing where it mounts. Include a ruler in the same plane as the feature being measured.
  3. Dimensions in millimetres: note overall length, width and depth, stem diameter and fixing-hole centre spacing where relevant. Label physical measurements separately from estimates from photographs.
  4. Fixings and markings: photograph any moulded reference, screw, pin or cord. Confirm which fixings you still have and check whether the replacement listing supplies them.
  5. Damage and uncertainty: mark broken tabs, worn holes or missing sections. Do not assume the opposite side is identical or a reference number guarantees a match.

Send the details to Printacar support for clip identification, or read how custom plastic part requests work. Custom requests are assessed before acceptance.
